Upon seeing Ramdev's father Raja Ajmal they turned back. Astonished by the fact of turning farmers back,he asked why they did like that. He assured that no harm would be done if they told the truth. The farmers told the truth as they believed. That you Raja King have no sons. How can our crop grow? We saw your face in the morning while on our way to saw and that's a bad sign.
A Barren king,s face might return barren crops. King Ajmal was very disappointed on hearing this. He was devotee of Shri Krishna. He decided to go to his lords place in Dwarika His wife made some dried food for him called Laddu, for his way. He arrived their and prayed for many days. Ultimately he got very disappointed one day and tried ask on face with Krisna's idol.
The idol didn't answer about his sorrows or could not answer because it was idol. Angered and raged upon this he threw the dried Laddu on the head of the idol, which hit its head.
The priest considering Ajmal to be mad, diverted him to go back by alluring him to go to mystic Dwarika which was swallowed by the sea. The unfearing man headed their advice and dived into Arabian sea. By throwing the Ladus at the Statue he damaged the Murti. Not caring for his life that he will be drowned or even die. This made Raja Ajmalji very shameful and apologised to Krishna and asked for his forgiveness. Krishna Forgave him and blessed him to say that he was very happy with his Bhakti.
He granted him his wish for a son and gave him a flower, but the Ajmalji insisted he wanted a son like Non Other then the Lord himself in which case Krishna had no alternative but to take birth himself.
Lord Krishna gave him another flower and promised that he will take birth at the appropriate time as his younger son. Lord Krishna arrived in the form of a baby boy and Laid down next to Viramdev in the cradle. The Queen saw the kum kum Pegla leading up to the cradle and she knew that lord Krishna has been born. She at once told the darsi to inform Ajmal Raja. Mata Minaldev Ramdevji mother told Raja Ajmal about his wishes.
They did not want to buy a real horse, in case Ramadevji fell and hurt himself. Raja Ajmalraja summoned the dharji the tailor, and asked him to make a horse out of cloth. When he got home seeing the beautiful cloth the wife of Dharji , tailor got very greedy and asked if she could sum of it for blouse.
Tailor told her if was not possible, but the wife kept going on until he gave in. He told his wife as the horse had, to be given in morning to keep giving him company by making tea. The Dharji covered the horse with old cloth and made the outer cover from the new cloth. Hurried he stuck the tail so the ears and tail were not finished.
When the Prime Minister came to collect the horse as the Dharji had taken some cloth out he was not going to have enough cloth to finish the ears and tail. When Ramdevji is flying in the skies just then Natradev was looking toward the sky as Ramdevji passed in her heart she decided that if she married anyone then it would Ramdevji, because in her pervious life she had been granted a boon. When Ramdevji returns he goes to the prison and remind the Dharji of what mistake he had made.
He said That his subjects would not ever go in forest he agrees to it. Ramdevji promises about what was going on. Ramdevji decided in his mind something him that whenever their was a part the first part parsadi must be done about this so when he went out to play with would be offered to Bhairvo and on sud Bij Ramdevji would Virdamdev the game gilo danda he hit ball so hard that it would be offered the second part of the parsadi. He said that land in forest where Bhairvo Rakshas lived.
The other children whenever Ramdevji was remembered Bhairvo would be begged him not to go but he did not listen meanwhile the ball had remembered too. Just then he heard the Bharvo Rakshas approaching saying I smell the flesh of a human, the guru tells the Rakshas how can u you smell human flesh, u do not let anyone enter the forest.
There, he offered his prayers to Kashi Vishvanath in his desire to have a son. Since he learnt that the citizens of Pokran considered him to be ominous, he decided to end his life in Kashi, if Kashi Vishvanath did not grant him his wishes for a son. On the seventh day at midnight he saw Lord Shiva in his dream, and told King Ajmalji to go to Dwarka where his wish would be fulfilled.
The next day he was on his way back to his Kingdom, Pokran where in his absence, his wife Queen Minaldevi had been fasting and had put herself under penance. He told the Queen about his dream in Kashi and deciding to go to Dwarka with a tiffin full of sweet balls to offer to Lord Krishna known in Dwarka as Dwarikadhish or Ranchhodrai.
In the temple of Dwarka he started conversing with Ranchhodrai in the form of a deity, which obviously would not reply as it was made of a stone. A gug ali a type of Brahmin priest advised Ajmalji that if he wanted to meet the real Ranchhodrai he will need to jump into the sea as his capital the Golden Dwarka was under the sea. The legend goes that he met Lord Krishna in Golden Dwarka. He granted him his wish for a son and gave him a flower, but the King insisted he wanted a son like the Lord himself in which case Krishna had no alternative but to take birth himself.
Ranchhodrai gave him another flower and promised that he will take birth at the appropriate time as his younger son. He told him to name both the sons Viramdev and Ramdev.
Ajmalji bowed down to touch the feet of Ranchhodrai and closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes he found himself on the beach. He collected his horse from the Gug ali priest and was on his way back home. As night approached, he rested on the side of the road and fell asleep. Being a devotee of Shri Krishna, the king decided to go to the Lord's palace in Dwarika. King Ajmal arrived at Dwarika and prayed for many days. Ultimately, in sheer disappointment, he asked Krisna's idol the reason for deserving such sorrow.
The idol did not respond to the king's repeated queries. Angered and raged at this, the king threw a dried laddu at the head of the idol. The priest of the temple, considering the king to be mad, asked the king to go to the mystic Dwarika to speak to the Lord.
The mystic Dwarika swallowed by the sea many centuries ago, lay at the bed of the Arabian sea. The unfearing king dived into the sea to meet the Lord. Pleased at the king's dedication and faith, the Lord granted him a boon. The king asked for Lord Krishna to be born as his son. The Lord promised to take birth in the king's house. Soon thereafter, the royal couple began to have children. Ramdevji was a Tanwar. Dalibai, his ardent follower from the Meghwal community, is also buried near his grave, and is said to have taken Samadhi two days before Ramdev.
The temple complex housing the resting place of Ramdev is located at Ramdevra 10 km from Pokhran in Rajasthan.
